As a board-certified oral and maxillofacial radiologist, Dr. Bruno Azevedo exemplifies excellence. The son of a pioneer in the specialty in Latin America, Bruno grew up working in his family's dental imaging lab, honing his clinical skills from childhood.

One of the pioneers of clinical 3D imaging in dentistry, he invested in his first CBCT scanner in 2003 and developed his first free CBCT viewer — work that took him to the Oral Radiology Department at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, under Dr. Robert Langlais. He went on to become a founding faculty member at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Dental Medicine, and later implemented a 3D imaging course across residency programs at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry.

He has distilled 17 years of clinical practice and over a decade of building 3D imaging curricula into his simple, highly effective teaching methodology — and has taught in over 20 countries to thousands of practitioners.
